"Lockdown has helped me to focus on our lifestyles and what is really important. Sure, our activities have been restricted, but there is still plenty to stimulate the mind, and much of it can be found just on our doorsteps."

"One of the first paintings I completed in March, was a reproduction of Leon Richet's 'Forest of Fontainbleau', which can be found in the Leeds Gallery. It is one of my favourite paintings, and as the Gallery was closed in March, I thought I would recreate it on a large piece of board that I found in the garage. The rest of the paintings were of images I have encountered on training runs around Thornton and Haworth Moors. However, beauty isn't just the magnificent vistas of the Haworth countryside- it can be a copse of beech trees over a dry-stone wall or mushrooms emerging from the murky depths of the earth beneath our feet. We just have to look."
